SUBSIDISED Sustainable Toys Workshop (Jiminy Toys Project)

Our new workshop is designed to be an interactive and hands-on learning experience, exploring the world of sustainable toys through games, activities, and discussions!

This workshop was designed by our experienced education team specially for this project, as a way to offer students a unique opportunity to learn and engage with important environmental issues in an empowering, fun and meaningful way. Throughout the workshop, students will dive into the environmental issues surrounding toys and discover practical ways they can make a positive impact.

They'll be learning hands-on toy repair, brainstorming clever ways to rehome used toys, and as a final activity, help to plan their very own Big Toy Swap! Our experienced facilitators will be bringing along a 'Cool Box' filled with different types of toys (plastic and eco-plastic, broken and repaired, old and new, etc) for hands-on demonstration, repair activities and discussion.

After the workshop you'll receive comprehensive resources to host your own Big Toy Swap, including how-to guides on toy swap and repair, event organisation and curriculum integration. You'll receive promotional materials such as posters, social media graphics, and leaflets to send home to parents as an explainer.

You'll also receive your very own Big Toy Swap postcard. These are pre-stamped postcards, which groups fill in after the event to share how many toys were swapped, and send it to us from all corners of the country! This is for us to gather data of the amazing impact of the project, and groups who send theirs in have the possibility of winning a very special prize, to be announced! (We also have a digital feedback form to log the amount of toys swapped and gather feedback if for some reason the group doesn't send the postcard.)

You'll be joining groups across Ireland in the largest Sustainable Toy festival ever seen!

Note: This special workshop package is for 2 workshops, held in the school one after another on the same day. The workshops are 60% subsidised at €80 each, with a total of just €160 for the package!
